Originally being a studio project, Oak Ay is migrating their music to the stage, emitting a strong live energy. The duo consists of two synth nerds from Trondheim, Norway, performing club music in an energetic, yet emotional live concert setting.
Gloomy, danceable, ecstatic and melancholic. The core of the music is performed with a DJ setup and is complemented with real instruments to raise the live show. Live percussion and drums, bass guitars and synths are all being used to give the audience a larger, organic experience. Regardless if you’re a lonely thinker on the dancefloor or in a spiritual gathering of midnight lovers – Oak Ay will take hold of your state and raise it to something bigger.
Being the heart-child of producers Simen Helbæk Kjølberg and Isak Hannisdal, Oak Ay has already been selected as participants at branch festival Trondheim Calling 2020, from more than 500 applicants.
