Ophthalamia is a black metal side-project band featuring vocalist Legion (Marduk), guitarist It (
Abruptum, Vondur), bassist Night (
Swordmaster), and drummer Winter (
Edge of Sanity). After debuting on the Avantgarde label with
A Journey in Darkness, the group switched to Century Black for 1996's Via Dolorosa. The following year,
Ophthalamia issued a re-recorded
