Philip Clemo is a composer, sound-design, film-maker and TED
talker. His work is “hypnotic” (The Times, UK), “startlingly
original” (The Observer, UK), “beautiful, mesmerizing” (All
Music Guide) and “transcendent” (BBC).
He builds complex sound worlds, exploring form, improvisation,
orchestration, ambience and electronica and has released six
critically acclaimed albums, including 2016’s Dream Maps. In his
visual work Clemo explores perception, abstraction and where the
boundaries of familiarity begin to break down. His work has been
shown around the world, including at international film festivals and
the V&A Museum and Eden Project in the UK.
Clemo’s multi-sensory Breath Project, which he has presented
in TEDx and TED talks, explores our relationship with the diverse
environments we inhabit. Breath, which has attracted the support
of industry leaders including Vision Research and Arri, utilises
cutting-edge technologies to capture extraordinary imagery from
the world around us.
