Formed in 2003 in Poznan, the Camerata Bach Choir consists of members of the Poznan Opera Chorus and the Krakow Philharmonic Choir, and frequently performs with the Wroclaw Philharmonic Orchestra. Its founder was Tomasz Potkowski, and he led the group in performances of Bach, Handel, and Mozart. Since 2010, when the group became part of the Rossini in Wildbad Opera Festival, it has been led by Ania Michalak of the Gdansk Opera. The Camerata Bach Choir has participated in several projects for the Naxos label, including recordings of Rossini's Il Viaggio a Reims, Adelaide di Borgogne, Sigismondo, Demetrio e Polibio, and Bianco e Falliero, as well as the original version of Vincenzo Bellini's Bianca e Gernando (later retitled Bianca e Fernando).
