This mildly successful composer, whose real name is Vijay Patil, had two major hits to speak of: 1989's Maine Pyar Kiya and 1994's Hum Aapke Hain Kaun. He got his start composing for Marathi-language films, and made the move into Hindi films with Maine Pyar Kiya's success. However he was rarely able to reproduce that success, despite heavyweight support from Lata Mangeshkar. While he still composes for Marathi films, his Hindi work is rarely for the A-list.
