Rocky Lo stage name of Dushawn Oliver born in Chicago Illinois on December 5,1992 on the city’s south side Bronzeville area. He was a very fun spirited kid got in a little trouble nothing major his background isn’t bad he love’s sport’s and did a lot of school activities such as drama (acting) singing in school choir also did dance. Out of them all he chose music it was a instant connection from his first music class in elementary. He said “I played drums,guitar,piano and flute it was a feeling in my soul I got when ever I heard music”. Later in high school he use to have rap battles with fellow students in gym or a lunch period “ it would be a group of us and we use to just take turns freestyling I liked it so I stuck to it” Rocky said. He then got his own home studio at the age of 14 he was new to engineering so he didn’t know much but he kept pushing. He kept buy new microphone’s and desktop’s to improve his music and quality now at 25 he has his own label igloo Entertainment video production’s Eagle Focus Films and he’s even talking about a clothing line igloo Brand he’s working on. Even though he has never perform on a live stage he say’s he’s ready for the challenge he stated “ I am young, a independent artist,self managed,self powered and a idealist I will have a tour coming soon presented by me and i will be heard worldwide”. After all you can become who you want and do what you put your mind to any things possible he thinks.He then talks about his own video channel he started on YouTube Rocky Lo™ his content is on there videos and audios but he say’s “no one I know other then my family that support me my friends and followers don’t give me the support I need so I want to push on a bigger scale to become known”. His first project titled “I’m Almost There” ep he hosted his self on online sites Spinrilla,Datpiff and Mymixtapez out he released in mid June of 2017 then In September he dropped another ep titled “Hba 2k17” also on the same online sites. After that he went all to spread his new single How I’m Feeling to radios such as Spotify,ITunes,Tidal and more also in September.Then on his birthday December 5, 2017 he dropped one more ep titled “Partial”. He brought the new year in with a banger dropping Slum’s (feat. CashoutJuicee) he said “i will be live on all platforms available I won’t stop till I’m heard”. This is just the beginning of a long career for him so the way he is working is a plus because he tend to stay independent for as long as possible. I think he will be ready for a major label when his time comes.
