Set One's Cap is a young and ambitious band from Norway formed in the fall 2014. With it's six members, all with their own touch and individuality, the group has a very eclectic and unique sound that derives from both pop, rock, jazz and blues.
In April of 2015 the band traveled to Ocean Sound Recordings in Giske, Ålesund. Working with sound engineer Henning Svoren was a very learningful experience and the band had a blast working with him in the beautiful studio situated near the sea. It was here the band recorded their first two singles, «Wait for the Other» and «Like a Stone». Both of whom were later mastered at Sterling Sound in New York by senior mastering engineer Joe LaPorta.
Since then the band has accumulated near a dozen concerts, where several renowned venues were amongst, playing both at festivals and clubs. They also had their second single «Like a Stone» premiere on the Norwegian national radio and later produced their first music video for the same song, directed by Carl Magnus Fossum.
In september the band started working on their third single with Norwegian producer and mixer Christer André Cederberg. The single was later sent to Sterling-Sound in New York where it was mastered by the renowned grammy award winning mastering engineer Tom Coyne. The single «Don’t You Wanna Know» was released February 26th.
