An emotionally charged Alabama hard rock outfit,
Shallow Side's evocative blend of post-grunge angst and alt-rock has drawn comparisons to artists like
Shinedown,
Chevelle, and
Breaking Benjamin. Following several EPs, the band issued their full-length debut, the Southern rock-infused Saints & Sinners, in 2019.
Hailing from Cullman, Alabama,
Shallow Side was founded in 2010 by vocalist Eric Boatright, bassist/guitarist Cody Hampton, guitarist/keyboardist Seth Trimble, and drummer Heath Fields. The band put in some serious road time and endured more than their share of hardships before releasing their debut EP,
Home Today, independently in 2013. A second EP,
Stand Up, dropped a year later, followed by the
One EP in 2016, which included the single "Rebel." In 2019, they issued their full-length debut, the
Michael "Elvis" Baskette-produced Saints & Sinners. ~ James Christopher Monger
