After releasing their first single, ’Reflections’, the four-piece band from Liverpool has been placed firmly on tastemakers’ radars as well as gaining support from BBC6 Music. Their lyrics can be dark, yet the melodic pieces are packaged in a beautiful soaring soundscape. Their lyrics are honest and expose a side that envelops teenage angst wrapped up in a dream-like setting. SHARDS’ live performances have been described as “effortlessly fill a room”.
The band’s soaring debut single Reflections scored airtime on BBC Introducing, repeating the feat with excellent follow up cut My Birthday. With a clutch of impressive support shows alongside Black Honey, Tim Burgess and when young under their belts, the quartet recently logged warmly received appearances at Liverpool International Music Festival and Sound City.
