Şiar, a synonym to poetry, is also known to mean awareness, thought and the distinction in beliefs. Şiar is born as a music group to retell the story of Anatolian philosophy.
We are three friends who one day found each other on balcony where everything seemed to happen by coincidence. We found ourselves united at the point where our souls and joy meet. Barış was seeking phrases to complete his composition for a Hayyam poem. Then by chance, Sitare found the suitable words.
On top of this Bora asked her to write a few things more. That is when Sitare wrote our first song -Derman. As days went by we saw how much we are growing, how our joy grew and how much we are loving what we do.
Within a year we wrote around forty pieces and around twenty compositions. We know that there is still a lot to come from us and people awaiting to meet what we have to share. So we said, “if we had this much fun on this balcony, been so productive, got joy and strength from each other, then lets encourage each other and open each others paths so that we can reach the ones who would also love what we created on that balcony that day”.
As we send in the beginning, Şiar means poem, a poem that brought us together. As if we hadn’t ever named it, but were born in to this name...
Şiar is a band formed by M. Sıtare Akbaş, Mustafa Barış Koçkar and Bora Çifterler in the hope to express oneself combining joy and soul, and to grow with excitement. Since we loved ... Maybe you will love and embrace us too ..
