Singer, guitar player, composer, arranger and music producer, Sid Ferreira releases his newest album, which celebrate the 50 years of career of one of the greatest artists of Brazilian music: Ivan Lins.
The CD "Tanto Amor - Canções de Ivan Lins Vol.1", Sid's third one, was recorded in an unusual format: just a voice and a string quartet. The high-level group is formed by Ayran Nicodemo (Violin I), Talita Vieira (Violin II), Ana Luíza Lopes (Viola) and Gretel Paganini (Violoncello). Besides singing, Sid also is in charge of arrangements and music production.
The Ivan`s songs selected to this album were composed with Vitor Martins, Celso Viáfora, Ronaldo Monteiro and others, since beginning of his career, as "Choro Das Águas", originally released in 1977, until recently, as "Meu Espelho", released in 2010. The album also includes featuring artists André Muato, Fabio Cadore and Lenna Pablo performing on three tracks.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Sid Ferreira already has released two authoral projects: “Sem Fantasia” (2016) and “Outros 500” (2017). Both available on streaming platforms to anyone interested in brazilian rhythms, as bossa nova and samba.
