At once a brash songstress and whimsical storyteller, Sidney Bird with her distinctive and arresting voice has been stunning audiences since childhood. A native of Phoenix, AZ, Sidney discovered her love of singing at 5 years old and through high school and college was a fixture in the musical theater and choir programs. A Dramatic Arts major at USC, Sidney explored many creative directions and built a following around her comedic acting talents, but music was always her first love. Following graduation Sidney made the move east to NYC to expand and enrich her passion for music and songwriting, and in doing so very quickly gained the attention of producers and record executives who fell in love with her voice and her approach to songwriting. Drawing comparisons to the likes of Maggie Rogers, Florence Welsh and Halsey, opportunities began to present themselves but with her mindset laser focused on building the foundation for a long and successful career in music as well as her own growth as an artist, Sidney opted to stay independent and immerse herself in songwriting and production and collaboration. In early 2020 Sidney released her first album "Bad Timing", a collection of 8 songs which immediately found their way onto popular playlists and lead to packed rooms at legendary music venues across NYC, and even a one of a kind "sail-in" show on Lake Owen in Wisconsin.
