Sloe are an amazing Emo band from San Jose, a town notorious for outdated Punk bands, lost goths and degenerately drunk ex-pro skateboarders. This foursome stand out as diamonds in the rough, with howling guitars that wind up and release tension like sonic waves of harmonized, static bliss. Powerful songs are loaded with passion, soul and an almost tangible collection of blood, sweat and tears that you can just feel and smell while listening. Extended props go out to the singer for not trying to sound like Modest Mouse or Built to Spill.
