Snootie Wild rocketed into the Top 20 of the rap charts with his debut single, "Yayo." Produced by K. Figz,
Snootie self-released the track in 2013. It was discovered by fellow Memphis rapper
Yo Gotti, who remixed and added his own verse to the song, a version that saw release in 2014. That same year,
Snootie made his official debut with
Go Mode, an EP released by the Epic-affiliated label CMG.
Snootie Wild died in Houston, Texas, on February 26, 2022; he was 36 years of age. ~ David Jeffries
