One of many projects helmed by Swedish keyboard ace Richard Andersson,
Space Odyssey also consists of vocalist Patrik Johansson (
Astral Doors), guitarist Magnus Nilsson (
Talisman), bassist Marcel Jacob (ex-Rising Force), and drummer Zoltan Csorsz (
the Flower Kings). Confusingly,
Space Odyssey's debut album, 2004's Embrace the Galaxy, rarely bothers itself with anything scientific or space related, but rather features ultra-technical neo-classical heavy metal in the image of
