Growing up listening to pirate radio stations in Streatham, South London, Steve Bishop heard the underground sounds of UK garage, drum & bass and house and started his path as a DJ at the tender age of 13. Spending his lunch money on records and taking the name DJ Oneman, he fell deep into the world of warehouse raves, independent record shops and mixtape culture and worked in the mailroom at Warner Bros before landing his own show on influential radio station Rinse FM in 2007. Helping to discover and champion the grime and dubstep scenes when they were in their infancy, he became known as one of the big tastemakers in Britain's dance and urban music world and his mixing skills marked him out as a master of traditional DJ-ing techniques. Though he doesn't produce music himself, his reputation as a DJ has taken him to festivals and night clubs across the world and his mix albums 'Rinse: 11' and 'FabricLive.64' showcased his love of moody, throbbing, bassy beats and a loyalty and dedication to uncovering new, outsider artists. He has also worked with DJ Jackmaster on a live music project called 'Can U Dance' and hosted a 13 week residency at XOYO in 2016.
