Despite their name, the Sunkings' entrancing output is quite dark. Electricity menacingly crawls through the mix searching for open space in gray matter. Sounds reference the grandeur and gothic melancholy of early Darkwave, but Sunkings are nothing to fear. Their compositions are elegant and graceful and require the trust of absolute abandon to their mesmeric repetitions as you become seduced by their overwhelming urges towards submission. And how could you refuse? Their bittersweet melodies and heavy-syrup bass eruptions are deeply hypnotic and their hard Trance rhythms present a universe of hedonism.
