A punk rock act from Munich that was part punk, part garage, and part Northern Soul, Superpunk (a five piece) got started in 1996. Their first album, A bisserl was geht immer (on Fidel Bastro), was released in 1999. Wasser Marsch followed in 2001, Einmal Superpunk, Bitte in 2004, and Können Sie das groß machen bitte?! in 2005 -- all released on L'age d'or. 2008 found Superpunk on the Tapete Records label, and that year the group released album number five, Why Not? ~ Chris True
