Although just getting their proverbial feet wet in the music industry, the Salads have been performing since their high school days in the late '80s. While not entirely devoting their lives to the music business, the band continued to tour and record new material, releasing an independent cassette in 1996. In 1998, their debut album, Meanwhile..., charted on Canada's campus radio. With three of the four members music teachers, finding time to record hasn't been a problem. After more touring, the band released a seven-song EP in 2001 entitled Who's That? ~ Jason MacNeil
