This longtime singer/songwriter was a member, along with brother Lou, of
the Brambells. The band enjoyed some success on college and mainstream radio, but in the mid-'90s,
Tim Anthony decided to release a solo album. Taking into account his influences such as
the Raspberries,
the Beatles, and
Buddy Holly,
Anthony was a "one-man band" on his debut album
Things That Once Were. The singer also earned a variety of awards and various nominations for his songwriting style. After the album,
Anthony returned to concentrate on
the Brambells, now renamed
the Brambles. The group released two albums with plans for a third in 2002.
Anthony continues to perform in the United States and Europe. ~ Jason MacNeil
