TONHA

TONHA

* En anglais uniquement

Born on November 15, 1995, in Angola. Pedro “Tonha” Moutou is an independent artist, rapper, singer, composer, and songwriter. Back in 2012, Tonha started rapping after watching the bio movie Notorious BIG and doing freestyles during recess with his best friend. Since then, he fell deeply in love with music (Hip-Hop, Trap, Jazz, Rnb, Afro House,…) and started writing songs in French but then switched to English as he fell more comfortable with it. Inspired by rappers like Biggie Smalls or La Fouine, born in Angola and growing up in France (78) made a mix of cultures and languages that can be felt in Tonha’s music. Switching from French to English and being able to come back in Portuguese within the same context can be perceived as Tonha’s signature on a track. Moreover, in 2016, Tonha participated in a Hip-Hop Competition Event occurring every year in Paris known as Coast2Coast. After finishing 1st in Paris, Tonha started taking music more seriously and since then has been releasing several projects in Portuguese and English.
