Tri Sestry

Tri Sestry

* En anglais uniquement

A punk rock band from the Czech Republic that formed in 1985, Tri Sestry (which translates into English as Three Sisters, also known as a river in Russia) released nearly 20 albums in their career, and were one of the world's few punk rock bands to be comprised of eight people, and -- as would befit a rock act from that particular part of the world -- feature an accordion player. The band's first album, Na Kovarne, To Je Narez, was released in 1990. Led by vocalist and lyricist Lou Hagen, over the years Tri Sestry would build up a major following in Eastern Europe, releasing Mydlovary in 2007. The album would go on to feature prominently in the Czech album charts, peaking at a respectable number two. ~ Chris True
