Turbo Tabla take traditional Middle Eastern percussion and jazz it up with house beats and a distinctly modern sensibility. The Egyptian-born, Boston-based Karim provides the rhythmic inspiration; he usually performs with two bellydancers - one from Brazil and the other from the Dominican Republic.
