VaShon Jhonte McGill, known as VaShon is an American recording artist, songwriter and musician. Born and raised in North Charleston, SC, VaShon began experimenting with music at an early age. His first recording came during an intermission of his uncle’s studio session where he was allowed to freestyle over an instrumental. VaShon amassed local popularity throughout the city amongst his generation for his unique 90s inspired flow with a heavy Gullah accent.
