Atlanta singer/songwriter Wendy Bucklew grew up in the same Southern acoustic scene that popularized the Indigo Girls and Victoria Williams. Bucklew toured with the Indigo Girls around the South and also appeared with Donovan before releasing a local album that sold well and prompted a deal with Intersound. Painting Sidewalks was released in 1993 and features a cameo from Kristen Hall in addition to Bucklew's regular band: Simone Simonton, Tammy Hart, DeeDee Vogt and Ashley Wilson. ~ John Bush
