His sound is based on the American trap, combined with oriental-inspired singing and his own note of "ambience".
YIIT (Kaan Kaya, *29.12.1997 in Mannheim) is a new up - & coming turkish artist from Frankfurt. He found his musical affinity only in his later years;
"honestly I would never have thought before that I would someday make music myself. By now I can imagine nothing else. Creating your own world from sounds is simply a lot of fun."
YIIT only started rapping at the age of 20, but sees himself less as a rapper and more as an overarching artist, so as not to commit to a certain genre.
"I'm not a rapper, rap music is just the medium I've chosen. It's the basic building block of something bigger. Besides, I'm still at the very beginning, music is something much deeper than just limiting it to genres."
Combining various influences, YIIT is trying to make himself a name in the turkish trap scene, molding his own experimental tone.
"My goal is to try and tell the imperfections of life, the conflicts of it and that it occurs to anyone, while most often our egos not being able to accept sheer reality."
