Hailing from the music hotbed of Austin, TX,
Zykos are vocalist/guitarist Mike Booher, vocalist/keyboardist Catherine Davis, guitarist Alex Lyon (who has engineered for
Calla, among others), bassist Mike Roeder, and drummer Cully Symington (also of the band
1986). Since first realizing their Americana-tinged indie rock in 2003,
Zykos have been on the bill with such names as
Cursive,
TV on the Radio,
the Hold Steady,
Interpol,
Crooked Fingers, and
Spoon. Two records have been released through North Carolina label Post-Parlo: Comedy Horn and Zykos. ~ Kenyon Hopkin
